Say goodbye to the paper counterpart

As from today (8th June 2015), the paper counterpart to your photocard licence is being replaced with a new online service that is set to save motorists millions of pounds and will change the way we share our information with employers and car hire companies.

The paper counterpart was introduced in 1998 alongside the photocard and displayed driving licence details that could not be included on the photocard. These details include some vehicle categories you are entitled to drive and any endorsement/penalty points.

More details about the changes can be found on the gov.uk website along with how these changes affect you.
